The seven museums of the Welcome network – Museo e Istituto Fiorentino di Preistoria, Museo della Casa Buonarroti, Museo Horne, Museo Fondazione Scienza e Tecnica, Museo Galileo, Il Giardino di Archimede e il Sistema Museale di Ateneo – tell the story of Florence from Prehistory to the Modern Age from their collections and activities.
The speakers will be Elena Pianea, Director of the Department of Heritage, Institutions, Cultural Activities and Sport of the Region of Tuscany, and Claudio Rosati, Museologist.
The presentation will take place on 12 September 2023, at 5 p.m., in the Sala Strozzi of the Museo di Geologia e Paleontologia – SMA, via Giorgio La Pira, 4 – Florence.
This will be followed by a guided tour of the Museum with the curators of the collections and a toast.
The initiative is free of charge and no booking is required.
