FRIENDS OF THE CASA BUONARROTI

The "Friends of the Casa Buonarroti", founded on 5 February 1993, addresses all who have participated and enjoyed the various activities held at the Casa Buonarroti over the last few years. The Association turns to those who feels it is right to support this institution, which faces a particularly difficult moment, in its efforts to present itself, on a civic, national, and international level, as a center of lively and continuous cultural productions. The "Friends of the Casa Buonarroti" distinguishes itself for the special attention it gives to the history of the Casa, and its invaluable patrimony of history, of memories, of documents, and of artistic works, above all those by Michelangelo, which have left the greatest impression on the museum. The result of this orientation can been seen in a wide range of activities, from those associated with the museum itself, to the availability of the library and archives to the public, from the series of yearly exhibitions, which by now are eagerly awaited and extremely well received, to the musical events "da Camera" held in the Couryard during the warmer months. The Association, presided over by Mario Sperenzi, helps the Casa Buonarroti to face the harshness of the current situation, but also aims to be a structure of support and guidance that can strongly support the many activities of the Casa Buonarroti.
